Dear Friends and Colleagues,

What an exciting time to lead the Inland Empire Chapter of the National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA-IE). Our chapter is comprised of remarkably talented and accomplished Latina business women. While at the same time that we are faced with unprecedented challenges in the local, state, national, and global economy, we also are witnessing remarkable societal changes, including the appointment of the first Latina to the United States Supreme Court.

I am honored and humbled to serve as the first president of our chapter and will do everything within my power and abilities to guide our organization to meet the needs of our membership. Fortunately, I have the support of a group of talented, creative, and energetic board members. Together, we have charted three main goals for the coming year:

1. Raise awareness of our organization through personal outreach, as well as print and electronic sources.
2. Develop innovative programming to meet the needs of current and potential members.
3. Forge partnerships with business organizations and other entities in order to leverage our ability to carry out our mission.

I invite you to participate actively in our organization -- attend one of our programs, participate in one of our events, or take advantage of our networking and business referral initiatives. This is YOUR chapter and with your help we can make it a strong and effective organization that inspires, encourages, and assists the Latina business women of the Inland Empire. I am excited about the possibilities!
